Jonathan Walsh
THEN: Walsh was the main weeknight anchor for FOX 47 KXLT from 1998-2003. He headed to Ohio after accepting a reporter job at WTOL in Toledo.
NOW: Walsh lives in Toledo with his wife, Alisa, and his two children, Kalib and Lizbeth, and works as WTOL general assignment reporter and weekend anchor for News 11.
ROCHESTER MEMORIES: Rochester was definitely a helpful career steppingstone for Walsh, who says he learned a lot about the television news business and about himself while working at KXLT as both an anchor and reporter. “FOX 47 went through a great deal of changes from a group of people starting an entirely new source of television news in the area to merging with KTTC…and having one unified newsroom but separate newscasts,” says Walsh. “The work was a whirlwind tour of how the news business can be. As difficult as those transitions were, they taught me many things about station owners, managers, coworkers, and friends. I wouldn’t trade that kind of experience for the world.”
